Many of us aim to develop a following in social media, but rather than randomly, if we ever hope to market to our followers, we should aim to get followed based on what we share. So, first, decide what a certain social profile or page should be an information resource of. Then, the work is easy.
What you'll need
You'll need Feedly Pro (US$7/month) as well as Rite.ly Pro ($15/month), RiteForge ($15/month) and RiteBoost ($9/month). All told, $46/month.
1. Create a Rite.ly CTA
Ask for a very small thing from your readers, and something that they would probably want. So, for the @riteinterns Twitter account, we're sharing application development information and internship stuff, and using a text CTA:
TIP: Not only can you replace Rite.ly branding with your own logo, that logo is clickable. It can lead to somewhere other than your "Button text" (CTA) leads.
2. Search blogs in Feedly and create a Feed of blogs that consistently share good information for a topic audience. Open one article page from each blog you like, and use either the RiteForge or Rite.ly browser extension to convert the blog URL to a rite.ly Make sure the CTA displays. Some pages block iframing, and if they do, rite.ly wont display.
TIP: find blogs with descriptive blog post titles. If every post is titled something like Android News Update No. 433, Enhance can't do anything with this; it doesn't have enough text to analyze and compare with topical words with effective hashtags.
3. Create a Feedly Formula in RiteBoost
In RiteBoost ("Automation" at the top of any RiteKit site), click +New Formula. Select Feedly, then choose the appropriate Feed and Save.
Make any needed changes in your Enhance Settings, add the social profile(s) that you wish to develop an audience for in Add to Queue Settings and Save.
Note that you are starting safely, in OFF mode. We suggest switching to ON to go full auto only when you like the content and also, what you're getting from Enhance.
Tip: Click in the the Formula's Source name field to edit it in a way that reminds you of how you're using the Formula. Remember to Save. You'll see the name updated when you click on any other Formula, on the left side of RiteBoost.
4. Run your Feedly Formula
Below your Formula, in Apply Manually, select all and click Enhance. If you are using Extract images from links rather than Create quote image, note which posts get no image automatically. Some blogs give RiteBoost no way to get a good image. You might want to remove them from your Feedly Folder, get the .rss again, and Edit Source for the Formula, saving with the updated .rss. Note that if blog post titles are not descriptive, Create Image/GIF from Template will not give you attractive results.
5. Go Full Auto with Feedly and RiteBoost
When you like how your imported content is being Enhanced, you're ready to switch the Formula ON. Now, you need not visit RiteBoost, Feedly or any blogs. When new content is published on any blog in your Feedly folder, minutes later, it will be enhanced and added to the queue(s) of the social profiles/pages saved in your Add to Queue Settings.
TIP: Check the notifications on social profiles you're developing when you can. There may be important accounts to follow back or, people engaging with your content.
