Compare Rite.ly with Snip.ly

Updated March 7, 2024

There are many different link shorteners available, each with their own unique features and pricing plans. In this blog post, we'll compare some of the most popular and very best URL shorteners  -  Rite.ly, Snip.ly, Bit.ly, TinyURL, Blanq.io, Rebrandly, BL.INK, and Short.io - and take a look at their pricing structures and limitations, built-in advertising and analytics features, and integrations.

Comparing 8 Link Shorteners

When it comes to built-in advertising, including our exclusive video ads, and white-labelling (you can replace the Rite.ly logo with your own or your clients logos), Rite.ly stands out as the best option on the market. Snip.ly is the closest.

With Rite.ly, users have access to unlimited built-in advertising for those who click a Rite.ly URL. This means that businesses and individuals can advertise their products and services directly on the link itself, without having to rely on external advertising platforms.

For most, the RiteKit Package is the best for integrating Rite.ly Link Ads into your auto-post generation and scheduling. Search "Package" in our help directory for more.

To get started with Rite.ly, see the Rite.ly set-up tutorial

In terms of analytics, Rite.ly also offers actionable analytics, click and conversion tracking, which allows users to see how their links are performing in real-time. This can be particularly useful for businesses who want to see which marketing campaigns are driving the most traffic and conversions.

You also get an iOS app and for those who get Rite.ly in the RiteKit Package, you can use the RiteForge browser extension to make Enhanced social posts with your Rite.ly link shortening and advertisements.

Value for the Price

In terms of pricing, Rite.ly is affordable, with a cost of $15 per month. This is a great value considering the advanced features it offers, particularly in comparison to other link shorteners on the market that allow you to advertise for yourself or clients, to all those who click on your URLs (in emails, social media posts and comments, forums, etc.).

Rite.ly can be purchased on a subscription basis, either as a stand-alone (a la carte) product or as port of the RiteKit Package - maximum savings.

In addition to Rite.ly's exclusive video calls-to-action (ads), and the many types of content that Rite.ly lets you advertise on top of and Snip.ly does not, a huge benefit with Rite.ly is how you only pay for what you need.

As with all Ritekit products, when you get started with Rite.ly, you will start a free trial. Our trials just expire. We do not get credit card information up front, and we do not "assume the sale."

Even if you pay for any RiteKit products, you will not be billed for Rite.ly or anything else you trial without you visiting pricing and choosing to upgrade, and completing the payment process.

Developers: use Rite.ly as your URL shortener in your software. See our API Demo Dashboard for this and many other solutions.

Note that for links shortened with Rite.ly, Facebook and LinkedIn will not accept them. This is beyond our control; FB and LinkedIn are now blocking all short links created of full URLs. So, if using RiteForge, RiteBoost for scheduling posts, we suggest that you do not shorten links for posts you schedule to LinkedIn or Facebook. If just using Rite.ly, even with custom subdomain, please use them in Tweets, emails, IG comments - and everywhere else - just not in FB or LinkedIn.
